My Story

In 1992 I graduated from the University of New South Wales with a double major in research and industrial relations with minors in economics and political science. For the next 18 years I ran financial call centres and worked in recruiting and various levels of management.

But my yearning was elsewhere. I had an interest in hypnotherapy and in 2010 I started practising in the area of clinical hypnotherapy obtaining two qualifications in this field. A Cert IV in Clinical Hypnosis from The Academy of Applied Hypnosis in Lindfield with Dr Leon Cohen and then a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis from The Australian Academy of Hypnosis. Even though my interest was initially in this field I quickly became interested in psychotherapy and Emotion Focused Therapy. I spent four years studying and doing role plays with Banksia Institute to complete a graduate diploma in Emotion Focused Therapy before becoming a member of the Australian Counsellors Association.

Today I use a fusion of the methods I have learnt to create optimal outcomes for clients. If you do see me, you will find my approach to be different to the many cognitive approaches on offer.
